Liverpool achieves 100% traceability in the transition and governance of critical IT applications
How Liverpool transformed the support, maintenance, and evolution of its core applications through a structured model of transition, governance, and operational readiness, ensuring continuity and control throughout the process.
The Challenge
Liverpool needed to evolve its model for support, maintenance, and evolution of its critical applications, ensuring a controlled transition to a new operating model.
The challenge was to manage, end to end, the phases of due diligence, knowledge transfer, transition, stabilization, and go-live, minimizing risk and preserving business continuity, while strengthening service governance and laying a foundation ready for future automation initiatives.
The Solution
RD deployed a specialized Transition Management Office (TMO) to lead and coordinate the entire transition, establishing governance, control, traceability, and quality assurance mechanisms for every stage of the program.
The initiative covered due diligence, knowledge transfer (KT), operational readiness, responsibility matrices, and escalation mechanisms, ensuring a controlled end-to-end transition to a standardized, SLA-driven operating model ready for automation.
RESULTS
Traceability across the transition process
Applications, modules, and technologies in scope
Increase in capacity for enhancements and improvements
Critical phases managed end to end
Employees supported by technology operations
